CREATIVE ORACLE: March 2025
Ways to work with your creativity this month.
Hello and welcome to March!
I don’t know about you but I have been bugging out since March started. The vibes are a little off for me but that’s okay. Life is always spiraling in and out, wide and deep — riding each wave brings its own lessons and insights. Time unfolds perfectly whether we like to see it that way or not.
Venus is currently retrograde (until April 12th), Mercury is soon to follow this week (Friday March 14th), and we have a lunar Eclipse coming up on Thursday March 13th. There’s a flurry of energy in the air that invites us to be a little more reflective, introspective and gently proactive with ourselves as we may find a few things shifting around and trying to find their proper place over the coming month. Be open to what new information wants to come through and spend some time revisiting any open tabs in your mind and what can be closed or what needs to remain open until you get a definitive sense of what wants to unfold.
Okay! Onto your Creative Oracle for the month of March 2025.

#1 : Hands
Our hands are one of the most powerful parts of the body. Through them, we can create many things in the world. Recently, I’ve been reading a book called The Extinction of Experience: Being Human in a Disembodied World by Christine Rosen. It’s essentially about how technology and the digital world is becoming an intermediary between the actual real, living world which is, as we can all imagine, deeply impacting our human experience . In a recent chapter, she writes about how over centuries we’ve replaced leisure activities and hobbies like crafting and art, with more passive activities like watching TV, scrolling social media, video games, etc. and it’s declining how we fundamentally exist in the world. Even something as mundane as physically writing less because we mostly use keyboards and phones, impacts how we directly experience the world. I personally feel our transition into this cyborg-like existence is deteriorating our empathy - turning people into ideas, rather than … well, real living people with nuance, range, and imperfection. Introducing not only more tactile experiences into your life, but actually doing things the long way or the hard way can do wonders for jogging our creativity and reconnecting to the world around us.
Your Ritual : Select a small project you can work on over the next 30 days that forces you to use your hands. This could be painting, pottery, practicing and instrument, gardening, knitting, sewing, collaging, writing on paper. Anything that allows you to connect your mind and body to an activity that engages your attention ad forces you to be patient and stick through a process. Try to incorporate this little project into your daily life for 10 mins or make a day of it 1 day a week. See how this small act of engaging with your hands may change your ability to be present and patient, or help you foster a calmer mind.
#2 : Feet
No, this isn’t a sign to start your OF feet pic account (although it could be if that’s your thing). Movement can be a salve for a busy mind and creative stagnancy or lethargy. If you find yourself doing some mental gymnastics lately or feeding your brain more than your body, it may be a signal that you need to tend to your physical world and connect to the wisdom of your form.
Your Ritual : Speak to your feet. Yes, this sounds ridiculous. But, ask your feet how they’d like to move. Where they’d like to go. And follow them. They take you somewhere you never considered before or encourage you to move in a way you don’t normally. If you’re not feeling connected to your feet, then ask a part of your body that feels particularly tight or constricted what it would like to do to feel a release. Try to engage with this practice for 10 mins every day for the next 30 days and simply notice how you feel by incorporating this into your day or note if anything changes.
#3 : Eyes
Eyes are the window to the soul. What are yours revealing about you right now? Sometimes looking into our own eyes in a mirror or through a picture can tell us a little bit about what we need. Maybe we need to be exposed to something new or gaze upon something that is beautiful. Beauty has that power - to restore or stir something within the soul. Your eyes also have the ability to shape the way you quite literally view reality. What your eye physically processes, your mind mentally processes and makes meaning of it. Perhaps, right now, you’re in need for some meaning or to change your perspective on what you think you already know.
Your Ritual : Take yourself to the museum, library, nature, a shop, the bookstore, the park, open a coffee table book or magazine, people watch or go to any other place that gives you the opportunity to stumble upon something beautiful. Allow yourself to turn off your phone and simply interact with whatever catches your eye for the day or for 10 mins. There’s nothing for you to do but be and to take in a moment of beauty. Pay attention to if this does anything for your mind or way of interacting with the world thereafter.
Have a great week!
xx,
Sirah
